Folks,
Saturday, 15 November, 2003 the Katy Amateur Radio Society will host an
informal foxhunt within the confines of the incorporated city limits of Katy,
TX.
Intentions are to meet at 'Skeeters' (NE Corner of Mason and Highland Knolls
Mason road south of I-10 about 7 blocks) at or about 8:30 - socialize for a
little while, and kick off at 9:15.
The fox will be 'on air' at 9:30, somewhere within the confines of the city
limits of Katy, TX. The Fox will transmit (minimum) 30 Seconds of carrier on a
2 meter frequency each five miniute period for up to 1.5 hours. Of course, the
fox, once in place CANNOT MOVE. This is an individual competition i.e., Teams
are okay, but only one prize - it's up to the team to decide how to split it
up.
Oh yea - there *IS* a prize for first place..... If you'd like to know what
it is, either show up, or ask us on 147.20MHz. Saturday morning after 9:15, or
anytime thereafter.
Here's your chance to throw something together, meet some of the fellas (and
Gals), have a little fun and maybe apply some of the theory you've ragchewed
about for a few years.
Questions, comments - feel free to email [email protected] (Phill).
Thanks for reading the note!
