[HomeBrew] High current 12 Volt linear power supply?

Having a lot of trouble trying to tame the RFI coming from an MFJ-4275MV
power supply every 20KHz or so, used to power my ALS-500M amplifier.
Done all the normally recommended things with multiple ferrites, etc.,
on all the cables both in and out. Reduced the RFI some, but no dice.

I have a suitable heavy duty transformer taken from a broadcast
transmitter and think I would like to build a linear supply for the
amplifier. However searching thru all my handbooks and other references,
I don't find any current design help for a high current modern regulator.

Looking for any assistance which would help design/build a series type
MOSFET regulator for a linear 80 amp, 13.8 volt supply. Thinking a
MOSFET regulator system would be more efficient, but maybe not.

Your attention is appreciated.
