[HomeBrew] How to make a clean cut out for an LCD display?

Thanks to all who responded to my query. I appreciate you taking the
time to reply.
I have accomplished the task by using a cutting wheel on my Dremel tool
and a sharp carpenters chisel at the corners.
I scribed the needed cut out with a combination square. I then set the
Dremel tool to the lowest speed and carefully cut along, but just short
of the lines. A few taps with the chisel made cutting the corners
rather easy. Then I used a fine file to smooth any variations. It's
not machinist's perfect but it came out pretty good. The escutcheon
around the LCD draws most of my attention and makes the edges look better.
It's certainly good enough for a homebrew piece of test equipment for
use on my bench.
