Hi Dave,

My experience with the NiMH cells is they are compatible with Ni-Cad
chargers with one exception. The newer cells have higher capacity and
will require that much longer to charge. I don't use "rapid chargers"
but the same would probably apply to them. I have switched completely
away from Ni-cads. However, I have been studying the issues for the
lithium technology and you should NOT use Ni-Cad charging techniques
with any of those.
