Hi, is it possible to make a unit that has full dublex loop current
interface with a interface to LAN/ethernet with internal ip adress and a
suitable tcp/ip port?

I propose the following features:

    * Functioning on ETHERNET network- IEEE 802.3 standard,
    * 10/100BaseT physical layer,
    * Static or dynamic IP address (added by DHCP server in the XDL
      modem/router),

    * Diagnostics of serial and network port,
    * Current Loop baud rate up to 38,4 kbps,
    * Data format in accordance with RS232 interface specification,
    * loop current supply
    * 100mA maximum current
    * adjustable loop current level
    * 1kV= optoisolation in signal channel between ETHERNET and Current
      Loop interface,
    * 1kV= galvanic isolation between ETHERNET interface and power supply,
    * 1kV= galvanic isolation between Current Loop interface and power
      supply,
    * Connection Current Loop interface via screw terminal block,
    * Connection to Ethernet interface via RJ45 connector,
    * Implemented short circuit protection and over-voltage protection
      on Current Loop .
    * Implemented protection against power supply reverse connection,
    * configurable via LAN/ethernet with a password or DIP switches.
    * native linux support. ( ARM prossessor ? )
    * full duplex communtication
    * AX.25 protocol support.
    * communication over High-speed multimedia radio (HSMM),
      colloquially referred to as the hinternet

any comments ?
