Recipe:
Take one old  DDS PIC controller,  add an AD9851 DDS, W1FB's QRP notebook 
NE602 mixer /receiver page 78.
Discard the BFO section in lieu of the AD9851. Add  a G5RV and some 9 volt 
batteries.  "VOILA"

The bad:  The sensitivity is so weak, only the very strongest stations are 
heard.
The good: the sensitivity is so weak that there is no AM broadcast 
breakthrough....
