Lots of activity on this topic! Maybe it will inspire a few to do a
project and publish to yahoo news group or wherever...and, notify us here,
too, likr someone suggested.
Oh, I know there are a few things a guy or gal can do. Maybe the problem
is that I'm now an old guy and don't have the energy and passion I once
had...plus all the other things mentioned.
I rue the day all the WWII surplus dried up...then again, I sure am happy
to have a terrific rig full of smt's etc. under my passenger seat...160 to
1-1/4 meters mostly at 100 watts...a dream come true, you know?
I do a project now and then. In fact I am now designing the electronics
controls for a small invention/consumer device...just for the fun of doing
it and helping out a small mfr,...my son. (-:
But the development and prototype soldering all has to be done under
magnafiers even for regular chips...what a slower/downer that is.
Nonetheless, life is good...
...it's good to be retired!
