[HomeBrew] Help identifying a component; further testing

That may be all they're doing.  Definitely a very fragile stand-off.  Just a 
thin piece of ceramic between the mounting threads and the other parts.  And 
then, why run a single wire to a stand-off?  Maybe this is one of those $260 
stand-offs....
