[HomeBrew] board to chassis interconnect

Can anyone recommend a source or method of detachable board to  enclosure interconnects?  I
have just ordered some small headers from Mouser in order to facilitate the option of removing
wire interconnects from boards without having to unsolder them to remove the module from an
enclosure. While there's a zillion connectors for multi pins, I've not stumbled upon a
relatively inexpensive way to implement single connector to stake pin "flying wire"
interconnects.  I was thinking of trying to use socket inserts with a shroud of heat shrink to
do this, but all of the socket inserts I've found are not strong enough when they're not in
their connector housings.

Ideas anyone?
