Or setup an 1m555 or 556 timer as a pulse width
modulator cycling around 400 hz or so and drive a
power tranny! That basically is what 'kits' charge
for. You are talking small dc motors right? the
irf-510 fet tranny will do fine or even an bipolar
possibly.

A 'tutorial page' with schematic and all! I would
build it on a perf board or 'manhatten/ugly as sin'.
