try to find an 70's gm unit.  they had a separate regulator. some  older 
caddys had a 90-120 amp unit . also the 80's internal regulated gm units  are easy 
to bring out the wires from the diode block. some of those are 140 amp  
units.  i had 2 of those on my boat.
any good alternator rebuilder can help point you in the right  direction.  
look for an independent old time shop. leece neville made some  good mid size 
universal units for trucks that will fit most cars with a little  bracket 
work.(like on fire trucks and ambulances).they will need a lot of  filtering , they 
are dirty outputs.
