YEP, and I goofed big time! I used a doubler circuit and two 1000mF caps 
after checking my notes. Ive also used various extra windings to develop 
relay voltages and other uses. Guess I shouldnt be rushing my fingers at my 
age any longer.

Hi Carl,

   Don't get your logic here. If a 5 volt winding is center-tapped, the 
voltage across the full winding is 5 volts and it is tapped at 2.5 volts. Is 
that not the case?
