[HomeBrew] Is all "plastic" pipe the same?

Hi,

I'm in the process of building a relatively large (about 5 foot diameter)
rotatable loop antenna for use outdoors on a rotator (rotator will be about 7
feet above ground).

Except for special fixtures, I have a sufficient amount of the standard white
Schedule 40 PVC pipe with OD of 1 5/8". While the rotator itself will be
mounted on a standard metal TV mast driven into the ground, the loop proper
can't contain any metal for reinforcement.

The 42 inch prototype of the shielded loop will be round, constructed of 2
turns of RG-8X (mini-8 coax) supported by an "X" of plastic pipe. If it works
well a larger, 5 foot "loop element" will then be built, using either more
turns of coax OR solid copper plumbing pipe in a circular pattern. (making
different "loop elements" for this thing won't be too difficult).

I've seen mentions of "various types" of plastic pipe. ABC, PVC, grey, white
etc.
My questions are this.
1. As the loop "may" flex some in the wind, What are the differences in
strength, weather and UV resistance etc?
2. When I build the "final version", should I get a different type of plastic
pipe, or will the sched 40 PVC hold up well?
