[HomeBrew] To short or not to short, that is the question

If I correctly recall a discussion on Glowbugs a few months back,
shorting is good, because then you don't have to deal with the problem
of high voltages induced on the 'loose' end of an unterminated winding
on a tank coil. There is no (or little) deterioration of the Q because
the shorted section doesn't dissipate power.
