Loren,
How about the sweep circuit in the W7ZOI/K7TAU QST article "A Spectrum
Analyzer for the Radio Amateur"? The article appeared in QST for
August and September, 1998 (sweep circuit in August). This design
doesn't have a separate blanking output, but the waveforms are shown on
W7ZOI's Spectrum Analyzer page. Looks to me like the negative-going
part of the sawtooth could be used with a comparator to generate a
blanking pulse. If you don't have the magazine, the article can be
