Phil,
I got the Johnson TR Switch 3 or 4 years ago off the Eplace.
Actually didn't get it for a bad price.
I HAD to go that way with the BC-610 and T-213. Anything that just
"plops" a 400W carrier out there requires SPECIAL treatment.
Isolation from <1uv receivers make it a bit hairy. The "break-in"
system is okay, BUT I discovered that without actual CUT-OFF of the
coaxial line to the R-390As resulted in massive feedback issues.
And switching manually to standby, while throwing the remaining
switches on the BC-610/T-213 was a major untaking. There is another
means of taking of all this, but it means locating and obtaining another
portion of the GRC-26 system that is MORE rare than the R-390A ballast
tube. It is the JB-70 junction box that attaches to the BC-614 speech
amplifier. These are the REAL unobtanium!
I've got one locked down in my name now - it has only taken four
years to even locate it!
Yep! I Meant it to say when I Key-up the TX - meaning go to TX
mode. What the heck! I too make mistakes!
