Are you flexible? Willing to go with a lower power output to simplify,
and willing to go with a different (lower) band to simplify the design
a bit?
I'd consider a very low power (say 500mW to 1W) output as your first goal,
and then you can build a power amplifer later to increase the output to
10W.
The 10m band seems like odd first project. Why not a low freqency,
which is typically simplier to design and build? You can make a 40m
or 80m band transmitter with most common silicon transistors.
