Hi Jim:
You asked "What sort of rig are you building with all those bottles?"

I'm going to put together a James Millen component station consisting of a 90800 transmitter, a 90831 modulator, and a 90881 amplifier. The transmitter is a tri-tet item that uses a classic configuration of 6L6 and 807. The 90831 is a dual 6146 modulator with the typical driver stages (12AU7, 6C4, etc). Finally (no pun intended), the 90881 uses a pair of 812A's in p-p configuration. The transmitter is required to drive the amp at about 17.5 watts to the input of the 812A's. The modulator will be cathode modulating the amp. The modulator has a 4800 ohm impedence output and the power supply for the amp has been spec'd to match that of of the modulator (1040 VDC at 217 mA for both 812A's). That voltage/current demand is about 4800 ohms, the impedence output of the modulator. Hope this helps. Cal. N6KYR.
