All:
Just wanted to know how I should eliminate/mitigate a chirpy 6V6 (AC-1 type) oscillator. I took a look at WA6VVL's book, "Vintage Anthology, Book 1" and he basically detuned the plate to lessen the chirp on the AC-1's signal. I have been doing that practice but would like to try and eliminate the problem electrically. I have been toying with the idea of canning my present filtering system and basically put in a 470 uF/450 VDC electrolytic I have. I'm currently using two 22 uF/350 VDC caps and a single 2H choke in pi configuration but somehow that doesn't seem to be doing anything with the chirp problem. Any comments? Thanks. Cal, N6KYR.
