Am also interested in HV Transformer but we have 240V in OZ.

Read the article referenced below with interest and observed that the writer used 4 
MW Transformers off of 115v 2 phase - earth neutral!.

Have also seen recommendation to use 2MW transformers off of single phase 240v 
because of the insulation problems with transformer secondary. The primarys are in 
parallel and secondarys in series with centre tap earthed.

Can't understand why the writer used four transformers - was it just to get full wave  
bridge rectification, or to balance the load on 2 phases.
