All:
Just wanted to know if there is any truth to this. An acquaintance had said there were some frequency losses in a homebrew project when he was using a 1/4" phone plug for a mic input to a homebrew project (which was soon replaced by a Collins type PL-68). On my own project, I used those Radio Shack type RCA chassis jacks on a crystal oscillator driver project for my 6AG7/6146 transmitter project. The RCA jacks will be used to pipe in an external VFO signal and cathode key the 6AG7. I haven't tested it yet but I would like to know if I should expect losses as a result of the use of these type of connectors. Let me know and thanks. Cal.
