Hi Greg,
According to my RCA rcving tube manual, the 7558 is
identical, except for its' 6.3 v./.8 a. heater, vs. a
13.5 v./.36 a. heater for the 7551. Thus, relatively
minor changes would be required, to use the 7558.
If you are willing to rewire the socket, it appears
that the more common 5763 should work well. This
bottle
has a 6.3 v./.75 a. heater.
