My apologise to the list for not getting the regen
info on my page yet; my dad passed away from
Ahltzheimers and so I have been somewhat busy
being the only male child.
Now that things are settling down, I should be able
to start scanning the diagrams and some documentation
shortly. I will probably use jpeg format, althouth for
some larger circuits I may go TIF for clarity. Once
I get the majority of the circuits on the site, please feel
free to email me for additional documentation and mods
I have tried with success.
The circuits are from many sources, and start at 15 KHz,
going above 400MHz. Some even have squelch built in.
A few use multiple plug in coils, while others use band-
switching. Some are varicap tuned while others are the
traditional variable cap or inductor. Many include one
or more stages of RF amplification ahead of the detector
to (1) increase sensitivity, and (2) prevent radiation of the
regeneration via the antenna.
A few are even superhet-super regen...that is, there is a
local osc and mixer stage ahead of a regen detector. I
have a Heath Twoer that uses this circuit and it is quite
sharp in tuning and very sensitive; it was a CQ magazine
conversion as I recall.
Thanks, and hope I can get these up on a page for downloading
very soon.
