[HomeBrew] Twist the 450 ohm Ladder-Line?

Hello Gang-

  I hope the following isn't too far off-topic.

  I am replacing the feedline (450 ohm ladder line) to my
dipole, and heard that one should put a few twists in it,
to lighten the windload, or whatever.

  Any opinions or facts on this practice from anyone?
