Tim,
I would suggest the QRP notebooks and Design notebooks by the
late Doug Demaw W1FB, and maybe a late 1980's to early 1990's
ARRL handbook. Solid State design for the Radio Amateur by
Doug Demaw and Wes Hayward is also a very good book.
