All:

Just wanted to know if it's possible to incorporate an S-meter AND a magic eye tube as dual indicators for an rx. My worry is that there will be interaction or desensitizing occurring. Instinct tells me that it won't happen (as the S-meter is probably driven by an AGC driven device like an IF tube) while the magic eye (a voltage driven device) takes it's input via a 1 meg or so resistor directly off of the AGC line. Any opinions appreciated in this matter. Thanks (and I'm still working on my homebrew 6AG7/6146 xmtr project at the same time).

(p.s. I did confer with the ARRL handbook and I just need futher clarification).
