This contest is for Big Island hams, but might be of interest to others 
for promoting simplex capabilities. Feel free to forward this to anyone!

The Kona Amateur Radio Society is sponsoring *Big Island Grid Madness*, 
a contest for all hams on the Big Island of Hawaii. This four hour event 
is designed for FUN, and to test your equipment, coverage and operating 
skills using simplex on 2 meters, 70 cm and 33 cm (900 MHz).

The idea is to contact as many stations as you can in as many Grid 
Squares as you can during the contest, using SIMPLEX ONLY.
