Ham radio operators in Hawaii should print out a copy of Act 175 (14), 
and put it in your glove compartment of your car.  It provides an 
exemption for amateur radio while driving your vehicle.  The governor 
signed it into law on July 1, 2014.

a contest for all hams on the Big Island of Hawaii. This four hour event 
is designed for FUN, and to test your equipment, coverage and operating 
skills using simplex on 2 meters, 70 cm and 33 cm (900 MHz).

The idea is to contact as many stations as you can in as many Grid 
Squares as you can during the contest, using SIMPLEX ONLY.
