lI got your name and e-mail off your website.
My name is Doak Dingler; I live in Carnesville, GA; my call is WN4PFI. I am almost 64 years old and have never completed my WAS - All CW, due to the amount of traveling I did with my public job. I am now retired and the moving days are over. I lack one state to finish WAS - Hawaii!. Since I became a Ham in 1962, I have never worked or heard a Hawaiian station.
So, I come with an unusual request. Do you know of someone who works a lot of HF who would be willing to partner with me to make an Hawaiian contact? I have been listening for many weeks to the beacon, but the signals are very weak. The best I've heard is about 09:00 z (5:00 AM local time) when I get up, but perhaps the best time is earlier. I have listened on 14 mhz and 21 mhz. I need some guidance and suggestions as to how to make this work.
Let me know if this whole idea is plausable. I have worked Japan, New Zealand, and Australia on 40 meters, but that was back in the winter. Any consideration would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doak
