The annual ARRL Simulated Emergency Test (SET)
2012 in Hawaii is scheduled for Saturday, October 6, from 0900 to 1200
(9:00 am to 12 noon) HST. You can view the ARRL article at
http://www.arrl.org/news/get-set-for-the-2012-simulated-emergency-test

Amateur radio operators in Hawaii are encouraged to check-in and
participate. This year's scenario is based, again, on a destructive
tsunami. Stations are encouraged to exchange tactical and formal ICS-213
messages. See http://www.qsl.net/ah6rh/am-radio/in-hawaii.html for more
information and details on the Hawaii operations.

Please check for the 2012 SET information on Ron's (AH6RH) page when it is
updated in the near future. We are still finalizing the details and will
update the page soon.

Please plan on having numerous local nets in addition to checking in to the
Statewide and County RACES nets. Local nets are encouraged and liaison
stations form these nets are encouraged to exchange messages with the State
and County nets.

The timeline will be announced in later emails.

Have you have any questions, please talk with your local EC or DEC or me.

Please forward this email to any interested parties.

73 and Aloha,

Kevin Bogan, AH6QO

Section Emergency Coordinator, Pacific
