To Hawaii hams:

This weekend the Amy MARS station at Schofield Barracks (as well as many MARS stations on Mainland US)  will be contacting amateur stations by operating "cross-band" with amateur radio operators, "cross-band" meaning split operation by both sides such that the MARS station will be transmitting on military frequencies (above above and below the various ham bands and listening for the amateurs in the ham bands.

The basic announcement went out to the ARRL list earlier. Latest details are attached, or contact me at 487-1863 if I can provide further info.

I am going to suggest that they listen on 3888 and 7088 on Saturday morning (tomorrow).

All stations invited to participate.
