Hi Robin,
Here is a message I recently sent to NH6WI.
I have copied it and am sending it to you in the hope that you might be
able to get this information to me just in case NH6WI cannot. In my
internet search for this information, I also came across your website.

Hello Ed,
I was wondering, since you are a ham and live in Hawaii, if you could
help me out on this.
My call is KJ6KDD. On Saturday evening, 7-14-12, I came across a
ship-to-shore net on 14220 kHz here in northern CA. I was able to speak
with a female net controller based in Hawaii whose call sign started
with NH7.
I was unable to hear the rest of the sign because I could only hear them
from one of my sensitive receivers and I had to broadcast on a separate
rig which did not clearly receive their signal. I did not have the
transceiver and separate receiver "mute connected" so I had to manually
switch the receiver on and off to listen. She did not come back with
her call. But I believe that a mariner with an Australian accent tried
to communicate her (the net's) callsign to me, but in switching back and
forth things got lost, and then the net seemed to have completely shut
down. The mariners were broadcasting their locations and weather
conditions to net control somewhere in Hawaii.
I tried an internet search to no avail and then came across your web page.
If you are able to identify the station, their call sign, the name of
the net control operator and their time of operation that evening, I
would be most grateful. You might be in a better position than I to
find this out. I would like to make a log entry, but I cannot without
this information.

73 and Aloha,
Marc KJ6KDD
