The RAX-2 Cubesat to be launched at 11:48 pm HST on October 27, 2011
near Vandenberg AFB near Los Angeles. It is one of six Cubsat payloads
aboard a Delta II rocket. See http://www.cubesat.org/ for more details.
Students from the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Engineering
will be collecting telemetry from the UHF AX.25 packet beacon onboard
the University of Michigan Cubesat RAX-2. The beacon will transmit on
437.345 MHz 9600 baud GMSK. See http://rax.engin.umich.edu/?page_id=311
for more details.
The telemetry will first be heard over Hawaii at 3:02 am HST on October
28. The University of Michigan team would like to receive reports. See
http://rax.engin.umich.edu/?page_id=304
With the recent uptick in solar activity and auroras, this Cubesat will
generate a lot of great scientific data that will be useful for radio
engineering and GPS operations
