This report covers Mid Aug to Mid Sep 2010
For other information about the Pacific section check the ARRL Pacific
Section website. http://www.arrl.org/Groups/view/pacific. It is now a
little more updated. The long standing problems with the new ARRL website
seem to have been fixed so only your SM is to blame for out of date
information from now on. This means if you want information updated you
must send it in to your SM. The problems seem to be caused by the name
similarity between the Pacific Section and the Pacific Division. At the
beginning of the new website changeover it was impossible to get to the
Pacific Section. It would only bring up the Pacific Division. Later it
would bring up the correct page but would not allow editing and the last
problem is that the page came up blank depending on how you called it up.
If you notice any other problems that could be caused by the name
similarities let your SM Know.
Check Ron Hashiros, AH6RH, websites for more information on several
subjects.

http://www.qsl.net/ah6rh/am-radio/in-hawaii.html.
http://www.qsl.net/ah6rh/am-radio/cellular-phone-ordinance.html
The latest repeater listing for the State of Hawaii can still be found at:
http://www.hawaiirepeaters.net/coordinated.htm Ron made a presentation to
the Maui ARC at their last meeting however you SM has no other information
on how that turned out.
The Hawaii QSO Party starting at 21:00W (9PM) Friday August 27th thru 12:00W
(noon) Sunday August 29th (local time). QSO parties are held in 46 states
and originated to help people interested in US county hunting. In Hawaii we
have only four counties (five if you count Kalawao). Because our county
count is so low the sponsor Koolau ARC has decided to add in each island as
an additional credit. The islands are Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, Lanai,
Hawaii and Ford Island. Niihau, Kahoolawe and the NW islands as well as
Kalawao (county?) have no hams so unless someone goes there special they
will not be included. For the latest rules and information go to
www.karc.net . The site also has samples of the award and QSL cards. If you
dont have a favorite logging program, please consider installing and using
the free N1MM Windows program, which supports the Hawaii QSO Party.
Installation instructions are available at,
http://karc.net/OperatingEvents/HawaiiQSOParty/SetupN1MMlogger.html.
Preliminary results show a good participation with the following results:
Kauai; KH6JMW 6Q, 20Pts = Hawaii; KH7Y 1688Q, 4780Pts KH7T 408Q, 898Pts
AH6RR 261Q, 550Pts = Oahu (C&C Honolulu); KH6U 612Q, 1224Pts KH6QJ 5Q,
14Pts AH6TW 3Q, 12Pts KH7HO 4Q, 8Pts AH6NM 2Q, 6Pts AH6S 1Q, 2Pts =
Oahu (Multi); KH6J 1618Q, 4262Pts KH6CE 1201Q, 3422Pts = Maui; NH7O 1211Q,
3724Pts. Non Hawaiian stations are not listed because records are
incomplete and it would take up too much space.
