[HIham] proposed new repeater net ?

To all:

In the interest of providing new hams (particularly YLs) more on-air  
"talk time" and technical knowledge, I am proposing starting a once or  
twice a week weeknight NET on an Oahu VHF/UHF repeater. In some ways,  
this net would continue on with discussions held during the Kaimuki  
Adult Ed radio classes.

This net would NOT conflict with the EARC Nightly Net which all should  
support.

I will be individually polling folks likely to be interested, but  
would very much like to hear any comments on this proposal from  
everyone in the Oahu ham community.

I have pledged to serve as NCS for such a net for 1 year. If the net  
works as hoped, there should be folks willing to take over at that  
point.
