Details and reporting forms for the Emergency Coordinators and Net Managers can
be found at:

http://www.arrl.org/public-service-field-services-forms and click on
Simulated EmergencyTest Guidelines and individual forms.

We exercise standard emergency communication practices, which is to start
the nets (on Oahu) on the
146.88 and 147.06 repeaters, and 7088 kHz, and pass simulated exercise
messages. Since most of the served agencies use the ICS-213 NIMS/ICS form,
we encourage messages to be composed on this form. Details can be found at:
http://ronhashiro.htohananet.com/am-radio/emcomm/ics-213-radio-protocol.html

Health and Welfare traffic may be composed on the traditional ARRL
Radiogram. This form can be found on the same page as the reporting forms.
Please discuss their use with your local EC, DEC or SEC.

In short, it is an exercise and test of standard amateur radio emergency
communications practices within the state of Hawaii. There are no special
preparations
beyond what individuals and small groups are doing prior to this event. We
encourage all emcomm operators to participate. Multiple nets may be
established to serve different locales and functional entities.
