Hawaii Hams,

The City & County of Honolulu Council Web site

http://www4.honolulu.gov/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-84429/BILL004(09).htm

indicates that Committee Report 129 was issued, recommending Bill 4 go
to Third Reading. The softcopy, which is not yet present on the site,
would indicate the text approved at the Transportation and Planning
Committee on Thursday, April 9th. Keep your eye on that website for the
link to CR-129 and read the CD2 version of Bill 4, which goes to the
full Council for a Third Hearing. It is envisioned that CD2 will pass
the full Council and head to the Mayor's desk for approval, however,
anything can happen at the Third Reading so we must continue to keep
watch and be ready to respond at that meeting which is anticipated to be
Wed May 27 (possibly Wed Apr 22) at 2:00 pm in Council Chambers, 3rd
floor Honolulu Hale.

You can keep further watch on the bill and the action plan at this website.

Also, Bob Schneider AH6J reports that Hawaii County is considering
mobile cellular phone legislation. If you reside on the Big Island and
are concerned, contact Bob to form a legislative action team as was done
on Oahu to strategize and coordinate community testimony and response.
