[HIham] State CD and Oahu DEM Plan for tonight

Hawaii Hams,

As you may know by now, there is a weather advisory and flash flood 
watch for the Hawaiian Islands in effect.

At this time, State CD RACES and Oahu DEM RACES are on a watch and wait 
status.  In the event that State CD or Oahu DEM escalate amateur radio 
operations this weekend, Ron Hashiro, AH6RH or Russell Houlton, WH7O 
will respectively be notified, and an activation started as needed.

For State CD, operations initiate on the 147.02/147.04/147.06 repeater 
system.  Today, the periodic beep tones heard on the Lihue 147.04 
repeater was programmed out, therefore giving better repeater and link 
operations for the Lihue repeater.

For Oahu DEM, operations will initiate on the 146.98 Municipal 
repeater.  (Note, the 146.88 repeater is not directly accessible from 
the DEM basement at this time, so activate first on the 146.98 MHz 
repeater.)

Keep your NOAA weather radio tuned to the NOAA frequency in your area 
for timely weather bulletins.
