[HIham] Kaimuki ham radio class upcoming

To all:

I am organizing another ham class session at Kaimuki Adult Ed to start  
soon.  Details follow below (please circulate).

I would first like to thank all those in the ham community who have  
helped at recent Kaimuki ham classes with demos, ad-hoc  
instructor/supervisor duty and guest appearances, and also for all  
those hams who offered to participate but couldn't be fit into the  
schedule.  Thanks to all.


Kaimuki Adult Ed Amateur radio class upcoming:

"Amateur Radio, Intermediate", emphasis on General license prep.

No prerequisites but aimed at Tech licensees or equivalent  
knowledge/experience such as some knowledge of basic radio.
Tuesday nights, 6:30 - 8 PM, 10 class sessions.
Class start/end date:  Feb 12 - April 29 (no class during 2 week  
Spring break).

Registration dates:  Jan 12 (Saturday morning), Jan 14 - 25 weekdays  
(Monday through Thursday open until 8 PM).  MUST REGISTER at Kaimuki  
Community School office on Kaimuki High School campus.  No credit  
cards, no InterNet, just cash or check at the counter.  Depending on  
enrollment, late registration may be possible up to start of first  
class.

Text:  Gordon West General Class manual.  Text can be ordered ahead of  
time from W5YI or ordered at first class.

Cost: $15 tuition plus cost of book (approximately $20).


Additional:

School flyer mentions Extra prep, however this area will probably  
receive minimal coverage depending on student input.

Students must be 18 years or older (school rule).

No Intro/Tech class is scheduled at Kaimuki this term (demand is for  
upgrade).  Maybe someone will organize a Tech session soon ?
