Aloha all,
Good news! There will be ARRL Amateur Radio License testing and possibly
ARRL DXCC/VUCC/WAS QSL card-checking at the upcoming EARC/KARC swap meet
on Oahu, October 6, at Aiea Elementary School. Here is some information
you will need if you plan to A) take a test and/or B) bring your QSL cards
to be checked.

On DXCC/WAS/VUCC card checking, from John Peters, K1ER:
John has agreed to do card checking, if he is here for the swap meet. (He
may still be on the mainland.) Walk-ins are OK, but only if you follow all
the rules on the ARRL.org DXCC page. You must use the current application
forms, and bring your check to ARRL-DXCC for the correct amount. You need
to have all of your cards sorted in the right order (match the form), and
have your postage-paid envelope ready for John to mail your application to
ARRL.
John notes that he can do this at any time - just contact him. You don't
have to wait for a swap meet. If you have any questions, please email
John, K1ER, @ petersj007 at hawaii.rr.com . I do not have a phone number for
John at this time, so if you know someone interested that doesn't have
email, please contact John for them.
Please pass this information along to everyone!

Jan Mitchell, WH7Y
