Friday May 13th, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno
featured a message sending/receiving contest
between a cell phone text messaging team and
a Morse code team.

The Morse code team consisted of Chip Margelli
(ham radio operator K7JA) and Ken Miller (ham K6CTW).

Check out the message that was sent!

For the hams on this e-mail, Chip and Ken do
a lot of contests and DXpeditions.
Joe Drago, props manager for the show is KF6OCP.
Chip is a sales manager with Yaesu.  If you notice, the
morse team is using a pair of Yaesu FT-817 radios for the
event.
