[HIham] Keiki Fest in Kamuela, Saturday 16 April, 10:00-14:00W

Hi All,

The North Hawai`i group of ARES hams is planning to staff a booth at the annual Healthy Keiki Fest in Kamuela (Waimea) for the purpose of demonstrating ham radio for the kids and their parents. John Buck, KH7T, Michelle Medeiros, NH7RY, and I will be doing CW practice exercises with small transceivers and oscillators, as well as trying to contact anyone who wants to listen. 

This is an unofficial "mini-SET", and we will be using our portable antennas and emergency-powered rigs for both HF and VHF. We would like to call various islands and perhaps some of the kids will get a chance to talk on the air.

Listen for us on 7.088MHz and 147.02 (147.04, 147.06)MHz (statewide linked repeater), from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
