system in place.

WINLINK has an application in emergency communications, where messages 
can be sent as
e-mails that are automatically routed over the Internet or amateur radio 
as the circuits are
available.  WINLINK seems to be supplanting JNOS and similar 
Internet/e-mail systems
on amateur radio.
