The Pacific Section ARES will have a practice net on 7.088 MHz for message
handling at 2000W on Tuesday nights, beginning tonight. We encourage all
areas to participate. Different areas may not be able to communicate to
other areas (e.g., Saipan and Hawai'i). Please use the standard message
handling procedures as developed by ARRL ARES. These procedures may be
found in the ARRL Operating Manual or the Public Service Communications
Manual. The first item can be purchased from ARRL . The second can be
found on the web at ARRL's website. ARES members are asked to participate
if at all possible. Any station can practice, however, the focus is on
message handling and emergency communication procedures. If we cannot meet
on 7.088 MHz list up or down 5. If the 40m band is not useable, we will
meet on 3.905 MHz.
This is a practice net. Please show patience and restraint. We have a lot
of new stations just learning and others who may be rusty.
Unless it involves the whole group, please send email directly to me at
kbogan at hawaii.rr.com.
73's and Aloha,
Kevin Bogan, AH6QO
Pacific SM/SEC
