Its summer time in the middle of a declining solar flux, not exactly the best
time to be sitting in front of your radio. There is decent dx out there
however, even in these
dismal times. This evening there was strong European signals on 20 RTTY and
even the 7P8DA expedition was strong and easily worked. It still pays to have
a listen in the early morning and evening, this action was at 0530-0630Z. I
seldom use RTTY but the tnc was still connected from playing around in the
NAQP RTTY contest this past weekend. During the contest 40 meters produced very
strong signals but it was not easy to work those stations, it seems the entire
world had terrible static levels this weekend, anyway that was the common
complaint made by all those loud stations that just couldn't seem to hear well.
Get on and make some noise and have a little fun.
