Warren, KH6WM:
I am delighted to see that you are going to teach
classes for new Radio Amateur's. Certainly there is a need that must be
filled in Hawai'i.
The ranks of Amateur Radio are shrinking and this is well documented. We
must act collectively to find new Amateurs to fill our aging ranks.
And ARRL needs new members to accompany the rest of us in those ranks,
With my adequate antennas, for me, I have has gained expertise in the
field of Radio High Frequency (HF) and propagation thereof.
I would be pleased to teach those fall classes the portion which involve
radio propagation, the effects of the Sun, Flares, understanding Solar
Cycles, understand Solar Radiation, the Solar Winds, their effects and other various
Solar Perturbations on Amateur frequencies/bands. The selection of
frequencies/day/night and time verses desired distance, etc. and other knowledge I can
teach.
Since I have studied astrophysics data and data from multiple sources, I
then have been providing both short and long range band forecasts, since
Solar cycle 19, for many publications and DX newsletters for years, I would like
to volunteer my services to help you in this topic.
Putting something back into our radio hobby, a hobby that has given me
so much personal and professional pleasure, is my personal goal.
Request advise. QSL
