Hi,
I have made a 24 hour continuous record of the signals rcvd
from all 18 of the No. Cal. DX Foundations beacons scatterd
about the world. The record was made through the entire
24 hours of Sept. 19th; start time was 0UTC, or 2 pm here
in Hawaii. The records were made using the BeaconSee
program. Each of the plots covers 4 hours, with 8 samples
taken from each beacon every 30 minutes. A complete
description first, followed by all the plots is at:
http://www.kingschair.com/beacon/pt3.html
The Sun was about 1 degree North of the Equator that today;
today, Sunday, the Sun is "on" the Equator. The propagation
as seen from each of these beacons represents essentially
the propagation which we will have over the next two weeks
or so.
Each beacon's antenna is a Cushcraft R5, without radials. It is
remarkable how well the initial 100 watt output signal can be
heard from far away places, hi. Maybe simple verticals really
do work well! The linik given to the No. Cal. site tells all
about the beacons: their locations, how made and history,
as well as how to get the BeaconSee program for yourself.
Hope this info is of use.
