Subject: [karc-l] December Year End Party
Hi Folks,
At our November meeting we discussed the resurrection of the annual
year end party that KARC would have in December.
It was decided that it was too late for a formal sit down affair at
a local Windward eatery and that it might be better to have a
potluck picnic at the park. We could setup kind of like Field Day
with the covers and some tables and chairs, talk story, cook, eat,
and generally have fun.
Fred suggested we also do some kind of Swap 'n Shop out of the backs
of cars in the parking lot so that has been added.
Here is the general notice I sent Art to post on the WEB site:

Annual Koolau ARC Year End Party
Picnic and Potluck
Saturday December 14th, 2002
Ho'omalahia Botanical Park
Nui Camp Ground
Setup and Start 9:30 AM till 4:00 PM (Park Close)
This will be a potluck picnic. Bring something to grill for yourself
and something to share. Plates, plastic ware and cooking utensils will
be provided. We'll provide some drinks and coolers/ice but bring some
additional to help.
We'll be setting up the shelters and have some tables and chairs. This
is the former KARC Field Day site in the back of the park by the horse
stables.
All amateurs on Oahu are welcome. Everyone is invited to load up some
of your "extra" ham gear and see if you can interest others. Sort of a
parking lot Swap and Shop ("junk in the trunk").
Everyone please come and join us for our year end event. If you need
more information or directions call or email Walt, AH6OZ at 263-3872
[email protected].

Like it says this is open to everyone. We aren't using Club funds for
anything except the "KARC Ham of the Year Award" and we thought that we
would try to get as many people there as possible.
If you are on the other Hawaii Ham email reflectors pass this announcement
over to those groups.
