I just spent an hour on the air with H44A,the station at the Amateur =
Radio School in Guadalcanal, Soloman Islands. You'll learn more on =
WWW.H44A.COM but they are graduating their first class of students from =
the villages, and have 150 students waiting to start. Students are on =
the air from 2200 to 0500Z Mon to Fri (our Sun to Thur) looking for a =
contact. Each student must make 10 QSO to graduate and qualify for a Ham =
License. That's 1,500 REQUIRED QSO soon.

These people from the villages have no money, just desire. They and the =
school need donations of radio manuals and old but working gear. TS520S =
is the perfect type radio. Contact Lee KH6BZF or John K1ER if you can =
help. The HARC will work on getting the working, donated gear to =
Guadalcanal. If you're a DXer, some students are from TEMOTU H40. If =
you want to send the donation yourself the address is:
HAMS Outside Australia
You can post direct to Mr. Loti Yates, National Disaster Council, =
Amateur Radio Donation, PO Box G11, Honiara Solomon Islands.

This is a project worth supporting.
