Hi Mark,
I have tried a couple of MFJ keyboard keyers in the past - I don't recall if
either was the 495 model. One thing I noticed was that if you get ahead of
the buffer, and continue to type, you will notice little "bumps" in the code
being sent out of the buffer.
Hopefully, that has been resolved in the later models. Good luck!
